EDU APC STAKEHOLDERS CALL FOR UNITY IN THE PARTY

It was a day for renewed focus on the unity and stability of the All Progressives Congress in Edu Local Government Chapter when on 24th July, 2022, Party Stakeholders and  Community Leaders across the length and breadth of the Local Government met to deliberate on successes and challenges of the party.

The meeting was convened at the instance of a party Chieftain in the State, Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene (Marafa of Shonga) who stated that the meeting was a vital step towards entrenching reconciliation, peace and repositioning the party for victory preparatory to the 2023 general elections.

In his welcome address, the Marafa of Shonga appealed to the party leaders to close ranks and work for the success of Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Senator Sadiq Umar and other candidates of the party consolidate the remarkable developments recorded by the APC Government in the last three years.

During the meeting, stakeholders and community leaders from all the wards appreciated the achievements of the APC led administration and called for more focus on the welfare of party men and the citizens at the grassroots.

Alhaji Muhammad Kudu Gborigi representing Lafiagi Ward I, called on the party leaders and members to put the interest of the party first and work harmoniously to achieve victory for the party. 

In a similar development, the former Speaker of Edu Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Ndaba from Tsaragi district also called for more unity among the party faithfuls.

Some prominent party stakeholders and community leaders who graced the event include the Ndazhitsu of Manuga, the Ndarani of Faigi, the Chairman of Bata/Kinti Development Association, Alhaji Baba Ndakolo Ndachesaba, Alhaji Audu Tswako, Alhaji. Yabagi Majidadi, among others. The community leaders in attendance at the meeting also called on the party to embrace oneness and eschew bitterness to move the Party forward.

Serving and Former Government functionaries present during the meeting were Mallam Abubakar Bello Tauheed, Chairman Teaching Service Commission, Barr. Aliyu Alhassan SSA to Kwara State Governor on Job Creation, Alhaji. Mamman Tsadu One One( Member Governing Council, College of Education, Oro), Alhaji. Umaru Shaba, Former Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji. Kola Kpatako, Chiroma of Shonga and Former TIC Chairman, Edu LGA were all in attendance to support the move to reconcile various interests in the party.

The meeting came to a successful end with a resolve to work as a united team in the All Progressives Congress to promote unity, stability, and progress of the party.
