2023: EDU APC STAKEHOLDERS CLOSE RANKS

The Peace and Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Edu LGA Chapter ahead of the electioneering campaigns met with top party chieftains with a view to strengthening the bond of unity and resolving all differences amongst the leaders of the party in the local government.

According to a press statement obtained in IIorin, the Secretary of the committee and Senior Special Adivser to the Governor on Job Creation, Barr. Aliyu Alhassan noted that the party in continuation of its ongoing reconciliation moves has held a series of consultative meetings with stakeholders of the party at ward and Local Government levels in an effort to improve the strained relationship amongst aggrieved party members.

The statement re-affirmed that the reconciliation moves by the leadership of the party is critical to repositioning the All Progressives Congress for record victory in the general elections in 2023.

The stakeholders, rising from the meeting on Friday reiterated their commitment to the success of the party at the polls; a development they noted has become more important owing to the many giant strides of the party in the state.

In attendance at the meeting were frontline party chieftains from Edu including Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene who is the Marafan Shonga; Engr. Yunusa Yahaya, Former Member House of Representatives and Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, Secretary to Kwara State Government.

Other key stakeholders include Edu Local Government TIC Chairman, Aliyu Mohammed, Chairman Teaching Service Commission; Mall. Bello Tauheed Abubakar, SSA to the Governor on Water Resources, Former SSA to the Governor on Solid Minerals, Dr. Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed and SSA to the Governor on Job Creation, Barr. Aliyu Alhassan.

The APC Party Chairman in Edu, Alhaji Mamman Kudu Dumagi, Former Chairman, Edu Local Government, Alhaji Umaru Belle among other party stalwarts were all in the meeting where they threw their weight of supports behind a united front for the party that will translate into victory ahead of the general elections.
